Yodit Betru, DSW, LCSW
Dr. Yodit Betru holds a doctorate in clinical social work with a specialty in trauma -informed treatments. She has been working with children, youth, adults, and families in therapeutic settings for the past ten years, addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, family conflict, and exposure to violence. She pays attention to how identity, including race, gender, sexual orientation and identity expression, impacts how people cope and adapt. Dr.Betru works in a phase-oriented fashion that respects the pace of the person, and she gives thought to how a person’s culture and environment impacts how they are dealing with their current problem. She uses evidence-informed strategies to help the person move towards healing and recovery. Her hope and aim is to assist the individual find their voice and better connect to themselves, their family and their community.
