Mary Jo Loughran, PhD
Mary Jo Loughran has over 25 years of experience working in community mental health, medical center, and university counseling center settings. She embraces a biopsychosocial model of health and wellness, which emphasizes the equal importance of tending to biological, psychological, and social influences in people’s lives. Her approach to counseling and psychotherapy consists of a blending of cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal theory.
Dr. Loughran maintains a small, part-time practice at Vista, specializing primarily in consultation with undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to her work at Vista, she is a member of the graduate psychology faculty at Chatham University
