Dr. Helen Bittmann Sysko has over 20 years of clinical experience, utilizing evidence-based treatment interventions such as mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and clinical hypnosis. Treatment specialties include depression, anxiety, with specific experience in behavioral treatment of chronic illness and pain, medical traumatization, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Dr. Sysko is currently not providing individual therapy but is facilitating virtual small group therapy with patients referred by their therapists at Vista Behavioral Health. The purpose of these group sessions is to supplement individual treatment with skill building in areas such as mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, stress management and self-care.
