A word of explanation

Licensed Professional Counselors have master's-level postgraduate training in psychotherapy, behavior modification and other non-medication methods to help with mental health problems. After their training, they gain experience under the supervision of other professionals prior to being licensed to provide psychotherapeutic treatment to individuals, couples and families.
